January 1st 2012. After lots of thoroughly enjoyable swimming at Christmas we were spurred on to continue our swimming into the winter...
My first swim of the year was in Creux Harbour Sark. On New Year's day I walked there from Vieux Clos guest house in the pouring rain. Although I got a few people to come with me (crazy enough considering the weather) I couldn't get anyone to swim with me ;-)
Getting changed in the rain helps encourage you into the water quickly. The water seemed warm compared to the air temperature and I lovely my swim across the harbour in the rain, followed by a pint at the Bel Air afterwards.
